Earlier this year, Audrey's sister, A.J. reached out to me via e-mail requesting information on booking a wedding package for her sister (Audrey). However, the entire time she was going by a different name; following Audrey's request of keeping it a secret! So, it wasn't until weeks before I finally found out who this creative, loving couple actually was and all of the details about their surprise wedding ceremony. I jumped at the request of being their photographer. It just sounded like such an exciting and romantic idea. They planned to be visiting back home (in Pennsylvania) to throw an engagement party for all of their friends and family to attend, but little did everyone know, they'd be actually celebrating Audrey + Daniel's SURPRISE WEDDING!
There wasn't a dry eye in the room when Audrey walked down the isle with her father. Audrey + Daniel's vowels were so intimate and so sweet. Hearing them talk about their dating days, how their love blossomed and all of their plans for their future together... It was a unique love story and there was no doubt that these two were meant for each other. They share that epic love that you can see from miles away!
We were hoping of blue skies and sunshine on their wedding day, but it turned out to be gloomy and pouring down rain. Maybe in your mind, rain on your wedding day is the worst thing that can happen. A sign, if you will, that you have really bad luck. BUT, Samuels says, "In some cultures, rain on your wedding day is considered good luck, symbolizing fertility and cleansing." So, I look forward to potentially hearing of their family growing in the near future. (*wink, wink*) Plus, honestly, there's nothing more romantic than a session in the pouring down rain!
Thank you, Audrey + Daniel for giving me the honor of capturing your special day. I wish you many, many years of continued happiness, laughter, dancing and endless adventures!
Here are just a few of my personal favorites from your special day:
There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved.
The longest sentence you can form with two words is: I do."
